Prof. Dr. Olcay Şakar
President

Prof. Dr. Olcay Şakar

Born in Lüleburgaz in 1965, she graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1987 and completed her doctorate at the same university’s Department of Prosthodontics in 1995. She became an Associate Professor in 2000 and a Professor in 2007. Şakar is the editor and author of eight chapters of the book “Removable Partial Dentures: A Practitioner’s Manual.” She is President of the Prosthesis Academy and the Gnatology Association. She is married and has one child.

Vice President

Dentist Aret Karabulut

Born in Istanbul in 1966, he graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1989. He served as an İDO district representative and commission member, and held positions on the Scholarship Commission, Ethics Board and İDO Board of Directors, including Secretary General. He also served on the Turkish Dental Association’s Workforce Planning and Finance Commission for Oral and Dental Health Services and its Legislation Commission. He is married and has two children.

Secretary General

Dentist Fatih Özçayan

Born in Karabük in 1983, he graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2009. He served as İDO Eyüp district representative and commission member, as a member of the İDO Social Commission, as Chair of the Consumer Rights Commission, and on the Turkish Dental Association’s Health and Legislation Commissions and the İDO Supervisory Board. He is married and has three children.

Dentist Funda Türkbay Fazlıoğlu

Dentist Funda Türkbay Fazlıoğlu

Born in Eskişehir in 1971, she graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1994. She took part in district representation and commission activities and served on the İDO Disciplinary Board for four terms. She continues to practise in her private clinic. She is married and has two children.

Dr. Dentist Arthur Bozacıoğlu

Born in Istanbul in 1987, he graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 2012. He completed his doctorate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Istanbul University in 2019. He served on the İDO Supervisory Board and on commissions at Turkish Dental Association congresses.

Dentist Deniz Koyuncu

Born in Van in 1972, he graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1997. He served as a workplace representative for SES and works at the Bahçelievler Oral and Dental Health Center. He is a member of Hekim Birliği.

Dr. Dentist Sina Saygılı

Dr. Dentist Sina Saygılı

Born in Istanbul in 1990, he completed the Abitur programme at Istanbul German High School and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his doctorate in Prosthodontics at the same university in 2022. His work focuses on digital dentistry, prosthetic treatments and temporomandibular joint disorders. He has international publications and has participated in TÜBİTAK research and educational projects. He speaks advanced German and English.

Dr. Dentist Şükrü Can Akmansoy

Dr. Dentist Şükrü Can Akmansoy

Born in Bursa in 1988, he completed high school at Bursa Private İnal Ertekin High School and graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2010. He completed his doctorate in Prosthodontics at the same university in 2023. Between 2017 and 2023, while serving as a research assistant, he was Deputy Director of the Application and Research Center. He continues his academic career as an Assistant Professor. He is married and has one child.

Dentist Tenzil Adsız Özmen

Born in Ardahan in 1986, she graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2012. She has been practising in her own clinic in Esenyurt for seven years. She is married and has two children.
